In May, 2006 Chris, Jim and I went to Fiji for a 10-day liveaboard trip on the Naia. You can see the divemaster's account of the trip here. And Chris and Jim's blog about it is here. In February 2006 I traveled to Indonesia and did a liveaboard dive trip with Paul Humann and Ned DeLoach on board the Adventure Komodo. . Trip to Bhutan led by Keren Su of China Span. Marilyn and Emily went on this trip and were fascinated with the scenery, the prayer flags, the stupas and the festivals. Oh yes, and don't forget the 'Divine Madman' whose legacy is paintings and sculptures of penises everywhere! After visiting Churchill in the winter and seeing Polar Bears, I learned so much about the Beluga whales that frequent in the summer that I had to go. Sue was my roommate again as we flew to Winnipeg, then took a train to Thompson, then a little old plane for the last leg to Churchill.

In July 2000, I took my 3d trip on the Thorfinn on an excursion in Micronesia. The diving was good, but the real memory is of stopping at remote islands. For many of these people, the Thorfinn's visits are the only contact with the outside world. It's so incredible to see that their innocent life can still exist in our world today.
